Within Her: Serenity
About this Artwork
Serenity is the debut piece from my new series Within Her — and it was conceived from the start as an experience that lives beyond the screen.
Within Her is built on a single question: what if the female figure wasn’t the subject of art, but the portal into it? For centuries, art history positioned women as something to be observed from the outside. This series inverts that entirely — the real narrative lives within her. The body becomes architecture. A silhouette becomes a universe.
Serenity, the first piece in this series, makes that concept visceral in AR. Placed in public space, passersby don’t just observe a woman — they are invited inside her inner world. Luminous flowers, cosmic textures, and layered emotion bloom around them in real space. The viewer no longer holds power over the figure. The figure holds the space. That is a direct challenge to how women have been seen in public, in culture, and in art history.
Serenity is also accompanied by an original score composed using AI — built specifically for this piece, not layered on after the fact. Sound and image were created as one unified world, making the emotional atmosphere fully immersive before AR even activates.
ARtivism calls for work that “sits on top of the city rather than inside a building.” Serenity belongs there — because the interior lives of women have never been confined to galleries. This piece simply makes that visible.
