Before Dark
About this Artwork
There is a moment before dark when the world holds two truths at once, warmth still present, night already arriving. This painting lives in that threshold.
The forms are biomorphic: cellular, interior, alive. They don’t represent landscape or sky , they are the body’s own record of transition. The shift from amber to deep blue is not a sunset observed from outside, but a change felt from within. That coral circle at the center is not a sun. It is the last signal before stillness.
I paint by following the line rather than directing it. What emerges is always a world that already existed, I only make it visible.
Before Dark is about the intelligence of endings. How something in us knows, before the mind does, that a threshold is being crossed.
