A Sea of Stories invites visitors into a 360° journey through the cultural heart of the Netherlands.

The experience begins with a mobile phone, from which a herring emerges into the world of augmented reality. The fish becomes a guide, inviting visitors to pause and let the story unfold around them.

As the AR world slowly turns, a series of artworks reveals different chapters of Dutch culture and heritage. The journey begins with vibrant tulips, followed by bicycles, traditional houses, cows and lions, before moving on to the iconic windmills and ships that have played such an important role in Dutch history.

The visitor can simply stand still and watch as each new scene comes into view, discovering familiar symbols and stories from a different perspective.

The journey culminates with the ships and a final moving image of a boat, bringing the story full circle and reflecting the deep connection between Vlaardingen, the Netherlands and the water that has shaped its history.

Blending photography, AI Fine Art, 3D and augmented reality, A Sea of Stories invites visitors to pause, look around and experience Dutch culture from every direction.
