PRESENT PEACE FINAL
About this Artwork
Peace is always visible, yet untouchable — packaged as if it were a gift we never open. In this work, a glowing peace symbol is suspended inside a transparent cube. We can see it, admire it, even walk around it, but we cannot reach it. War is tangible; peace remains boxed up.
The title, Present Peace, plays with time and offering. It is a present we never unwrap. It is the act of presenting peace to one another. And it is a call to claim peace in the present moment.
Within the theme of Balanced Forces, the cube holds equilibrium: peace contained inside, conflict pressing from outside. In augmented reality, this tension becomes visceral — the cube is there, occupying space, but always sealed. The work is both critique and invitation: why do we keep peace locked away, when war is what we hold in our hands?
