This fantastical organism, Polyoculus acanthos (the “many-eyed spiny creature”), is a hypothetical inhabitant of the deep ocean’s abyssal zone. Toxins and persistent chemicals, carried by currents to the deepest parts of the ocean, might poison this slow-metabolizing creature before any human submersible could ever find it. This beautiful being could possibly be extinct before its ever discovered.

Initially created as a pencil sketch that was then imported into Rebelle 7 to be painted and finally animated with AI in Filmora.
