Meanwhile, on land, a cultural phenomenon unfolds: the Jeep Wrangler “ducking” trend—where owners leave rubber ducks on their dashboards—has created an entire ecosystem of plastic playthings circulating in real time. Though playful in spirit, these same ducks often end up lost, discarded, or drifting into waterways, feeding the very cycle of contamination that began decades ago.
